Softball - Basketball - Soccer - The Hot Corner - Fellowship League

 

The church softball season kicks off in the beggining of summer every year, however this year we took the softball program to a different level. We took over the church team with the idea of making it more than just a team, but an athletic ministry where everyone, in and out of the church, could come and share our Christian fellowship. The Disciples softball, basketball, and volleyball teams were made with the sole purpose of reaching out to our community as well as anyone that wants to be part of something healthy, character-building, and most of all faith-founding.

As an outreach program and ministry of God, we are targeting the local community at the moment to build the foundation of the newborn Fellowship League. It is in our vision and goals to extend this league to a state, regional, and national level. If you are interested and would like to join us as a team or player, please do not hesitate to contact us.

And if softball, basketball, or volleyball is not your cup of tea, continue to check with us regulary as other sports will eventually be part of this program.

 

VISION

As Disciples of God we strive to provide guidance to our community as well as to continue to learn from our sovereign Father. The Disciples Athletic Ministry is dedicated to the outreach of all ages, heritages, and gender for the glory of God through sports. We believe that there is a testimony of faith in everything, especially in sports, and it is through sports that we plan to spread our fellowship so that Jesus can reign in our hearts.

MISSION

Christians live under a set of moral values and obligations that our God demands from us in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and ultimately, to receive the crown that God promised to all those who love Him. It is our mission as Christians, not only to live by these rules but to teach them as well. The Athletic Ministry provides guidance to all its participants and the opportunity to learn perseverance, strength, unity, responsibilities, and faith. All which are qualities taught by Jesus to his Disciples, so they can teach them to their successors.
