Biografía:
Rev. T. Armando Iraheta, natural de San Juan, PR, asistió a la Universidad de St. Leo en Florida y graduado de la Unversidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico con un Bachillerato en Biología. Sirvió en las Fuerzas Armadas en el área médica entre 1991 al 1995. Mientras estuvo en el "Army" sintió un llamado al ministerio pastoral. De todas las bases en los E.U. y alrededor del mundo, fué a parar en Ft. Monmouth, NJ (el hogar de los Capellanes del US Army). ¿Casualidad? No creo. Allí compartió su fe con los soldados, pero quiería mas libertad para predicar.
En el 1995 cominza estudios teologicos en el Seminario Evángeico de Puerto Rico donde obtiene un grado de Maestría en Divinidad en el 1999. Armando fué nombrado en la Conferencia del Este de Pensilvania en el 2000 y ha pastoreado las Iglesias de El Redentor, Intercourse, Ministerio Latino de St. Paul's y Pearl St.
El Pastor Armando disfruta de los deportes, películas, familia, música, actuación y hable tres idiomas. El es pastor de nuestra iglesia Fuente de Amor la cual se reúne en la Escuela Elemental Fulton en la ciudad de Lancaster.
Esta casado con Mayra y tiene 4 hijos: Roberto, Shady, Xavier y Tiffany Alexa. Viven en Lancaster.
Biography:
Rev. Tomas Armando Iraheta, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, attended St. Leo University in Florida and graduated from Inter American University in Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He served in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 1995.
"It was during this time [in the military] that I felt a stronger calling from the Lord to ministry," Pastor Armando says. "Out of all possible bases around the world, who knew I would end up in Fort Monmouth, N.J., home of the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School. Was this a coincidence? I eagerly shared my joy of the Lord to other soldiers and even patients. But I really wanted more liberty to share the Gospel and preach."
In 1995 Pastor Armando began seminary studies at the Puerto Rico Evangelical Seminary, where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Divinity. He joined the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2000, serving El Redentor UMC, Intercourse UMC, Pearl St. UMC and the Latino ministry at St. Paul’s UMC between 2003-2006.
Pastor Armando enjoys sports, movies, family time, music, acting and speaks three languages. He now pastors our church: Fuente de Amor UMC, which meets at Fulton Elementary School in the city of Lancaster.
Married to Mayra, he has four children: Roberto, Shady, Xavier and Tiffany Alexa. He and his family live in Lancaster.
