¿Cuántos han bebido Coke Zero? / How many of you have drank Coke Zero? Sin calorias, azúcar, nada de nutrientes…¡NADA! / NO calories, sugar or nutrients…NOTHING! Salió al mercado en 2005 y se ha expandido mundialmente en el 2007. / Coke Zero es basado en la formula original de la Coca Cola. / Test-marketed in 2005 and expanded worldwide in 2007, based on the original Coke. La compañía alega que el sabor es idéntico al original. AL no tener nada, es la Paris Hilton de las sodas, es todo apariencia pero nada de sustancia.

 / This is the Paris Hilton of sodas. Appearance without substance. A pesar de esto ha sido el lanzamiento mas efectivo de la Coca Cola desde la Coca Cola de dieta. / This is the company’s most successful product line launch since Diet Coke.

 Entonces ¿Cual es la diferencia? / So what is the diference? Primero la Coca Cola de dieta es derivada de la formula de la “nueva Coca Cola” de los años 80 y Zero es de la formula original. / For one, Diet Coke is derived from the “new Coke” formula of the’80s and Coke Zero is a derivative of the top-secret classic formula.

 La otra dieferencia es que ha atraído a los hombres que quieren estar en la línea, ellos NO están atraído al airecito femenino de las colas de dieta con sabor químico, ellos son atrídos por el sabor de verdad sin las calorías. Los hombres de verdad beben Zero! / Another difference is that most men are turned off by both the feminine air associated with “diet” drinks and their astringent, chemical taste, Coke has successfully attracted waistline-watching males with its zero calorie, full-flavor soda.

 Leave those diet colas for the sissies … real men drink Zero.
El Jesús de Dieta / The Diet Jesus. ¿Nos acercamos a Cristo de la misma manera que a ls sodas? ¿Será que queremos todo el sabor pero nada de las calorías? / Do we approach Jesus like Coke Zero or Diet Coke? Do we want all the taste and none of the calories?. 

¿Nos gusta el concepto de Jesús pero SIN las responsabilidades? / Do we love the concept of Jesus, but NOT the responsibilities? Queremos su salvación pero no el compartir su gracia. / We want Jesus to save our souls, but not have to share his grace. Esto tiene tanto sentido como cuando uno va a Burger King y pide un doble Whopper con queso, papitas grandes y…..un Coca Cola de dieta! Si vas a hacerte el daño hazlo completo! 

This has a s much sense as going to Burger king and ordering a double Whopper with cheese, big fries accompanied with… Diet Coke!

Hechos 1:7-9
7 Les dijo:
--No os toca a vosotros saber los tiempos o las ocasiones que el Padre puso en su sola potestad;
8 pero recibiréis poder cuando haya venido sobre vosotros el Espíritu Santo, y me seréis testigos en Jerusalén, en toda Judea, en Samaria y hasta lo último de la tierra.
9 Y habiendo dicho estas cosas, viéndolo ellos, fue alzado, y lo recibió una nube que lo ocultó de sus ojos. VRV 95
Acts 1:7-9 (New Living Translation)
7 He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.
El saber dónde viene a raiz de / knowing where is a result of:
1. Tener Enfoque/ Having focus
a. v. 7 NO nos toca saber el día o la hora, it is not up to us to know the the day or time
b. no ir a extremos escatologicos / let us not go to eschatological extremes… Escatología es el estudio del fin de los tiempos. Hay veces que se toman dos posiciones extremistas en cuanto al fin de los tiempos: los que ignoran y viven como si nada va a pasar, sin la urgencia de preparse y anunciar a otros que Cristo viene pronto. Y el otro extremo es aquellos que viven una obsesión enfermiza con el fin de los tiempos y tratan de calcular cuando será. Al pasar el tiempo en esos quehaceres, no anuncian el evangelio, lo cual SI es el mandato que Cristo nos dió como vemos en el versículo 7 y 8. / Eschatology is end times study. There are two extreme positions on this matter: there are those that completely ignore this reality and live as if nothing were to happen, without the urgency to live and prepare themselves and to announce to others that Christ will come again. And the other extreme are those that have an unhealthy obsession with the end times and try to calculate when this wil take place. Thet spend too much time in this obsession instead of sharing the Good News with others, which is Christs command as recorded in verses 7 and 8.
c. El reino de Dios no vendrá a raíz de un apocalipsis celestial pero de una misión aquí en la tierra. Debemos enfocarnos en evangelizar y hacer crecer esta iglesia, nuestro enfoque es el ser testigos! / God’s kingdom will not arrive as a result of a celestial apocalipse but as a result of our mission here on earth. We must focus on what Jesus commanded, which is to evangelize and grow our church.
2. Saber dónde es resultado de: Tener poder y ser testigos
Knowing where is a result of having power and being witnesses
a. v. 8 recibireis poder…en griego la palabra para poder es: δυναμιs(dynamis) dinamita, poder! v.8 says we will receive “power”, in greek is dunamis, where we get the word “dynamite”
b. Es profecía de Cristo mismo, no cuestiones ¿dónde? Todos hemos recibido el Espiritu Santo (si le aceptaste), el enemigo nos miente cuando decimos que no podemos y que eso es trabajo de el pastor o de unos pocos. Tu TIENES el PODER, tienes esa DINAMITA, cuando tu lo crees, la mentira y los demonios huyen porque le tienen miedo al poder explosivo de tener la potestad de compartir a Cristo y su salvación con otros. This is Christ’s own prohecy, don’t question… where? We have ALL received the Holy Spirit (if you accepted him) and the enemy LIES when he tells you that you don’t have the power and that work is only for the pastor or a few. You HAVE that POWER, that DYNAMITE, when you believe it, lies and demons must flee because you are armed and they fear the explosive power of a fired up christian that shares Christ’s salvation with others.
c. μαρτυρεs, Testigo en griego significa: mártir, el ser testigo en esa época era ser un martir era perder su vida por un causa, ¿que tienes Tu que perder hoy? Tu ¿reputación?, ¿vergüenza? Aquellos por Cristo perdían sus vidas. / Witness in greek can be translated as “martyr” to be a witness back then was to be a martyr. What do you have to lose today? Your reputation? Embarassment? They lost their lives and have nore at stake, what’s holding you up?
d. excusas: nos ponemos en poco, miedo de compartir, rechazo, pensar que no es necesario, egoismo / Excuses: we have a low self esteem, fear to share and be rejected, thinking it’s not necessary, selfishness
e. Abre tu boca: Salmo 81:10 Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te hice subir de la tierra de Egipto; abre tu boca y yo la llenaré. / Open your mouth: Psalm 81:10 10 I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. 
Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

3. Tener nuestro campo definido y listo / Have your mission field defined and ready
a. Jerusalén, Judea, Samaria, ultimo de la tierra… / in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth…
b. ¿Cuál es tu Jerusalén? ¿Casa? ¿Escuela? ¿vecindario? ¿trabajo? / Which is your Jerusalem? Your home? School? Neighborhood? Work?
c. Leer Hechos 8:26-40 Dirigido por el Esp. Santo / Read Acts 8:26-40 Being led by the Holy Spirit.
d. ¿qué nos impide? 36 Yendo por el camino llegaron a un lugar donde había agua, y dijo el eunuco: --Aquí hay agua, ¿qué impide que yo sea bautizado? 37 Felipe dijo:--Si crees de todo corazón, bien puedes. Él respondiendo, dijo:--Creo que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios. 38 Mandó parar el carro; y descendieron ambos al agua, Felipe y el eunuco, y lo bautizó / What is holding us back? The eunuch said there’s water here, what’s holding us back?
e. A veces no queremos por miedo a fallar, a darte cuenta que ahora SI tienes que dar verdadero testimonio, lo fácil es callar y darte lugar a fallar y tener errores, el compartir a Cristo te identifica y te obliga a pensar tus palabras y acciones. Y eso te puede hacer sentir incómodo/a.
Conclusión: ¿ya sabes donde comenzar? Do you know where to begin?
