Membership:
Yire2003YireShadyYireMayra

It started in 2003 with only three members with two guitars:

Mayra Tirado (singer, guitarrist, group director)

Yvette Diaz (singer and guitarrist)

Shady Iraheta (singer)

In 2004, Iris Blanco (piano player) was contracted by St. Paul to play with the worship team. Iris Blanco is a very talented musician who brought new members to the group. At the end of 2004, the worship team grew by acquiring new members:

Yiré 2005

Fernando Barea(percussionist)

Juan Rodríguez (percussionist)

Richard Dominguez (percussionist)

Jahaira Pizarro (singer)

Later in 2005, new members joined also the team

 Yiré 2006

Millie Martínez (singer)

Lissette Colón (singer)

Frankie Martínez (percussionist)

During that year the group decided to meet in order to choose a name for the group and write some by-laws. In the meeting the name "Yiré" (which means "God shall provide") was chosen by its members. God has certainly been a provider to Yiré and to the whole church.

In September of 2005, Iris resigned to her position as a pianist in order to move to Philadelphia and study at Temple University. Later during the year, Dennis Pou accepted to become the new pianist player and brought with him his wife Dalise Pou (singer) and his cousin Yanisse Abreu (singer) to the group.

Some of the group members had to leave Yiré for different reasons, but the group has yet never stopped worshipping God.

In 2007, the group members are:

Dennis Pou (pianist, guitarrist and band director)

Juan Rodríguez (percussionist)

Kevin Calix (drummer, singer)

Yanisse Abreu (lead singer)

Luis Silva (praise singer)

The singers perform in English and Spanish. Some of the songs are sung in both languages and some in either language. Our worship is comtemporary and we always strive to do the best we can both musically and spiritually.

Yiré invites new people interested in becoming members in each of their performances. Dennis Pou, a very talented and spiritual young man, has recently become the new director of Yiré and the group has grown spiritually and musically.

Meetings:

Yiré will continue to rehearse every Friday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Fulton Elementary's Auditorium and will train new members who are willing and motivated in joining the group. The purpose to continue its training is to be able to expand and create other worship teams. The pastor and/or some lay leaders always support and supervise the meeting.
